I like the small footprint of Thirdlane's Webmin product very much.
It is simple, powerful, and not very expensive.

I also really like SwitchVox, probably the most of all the GUIs.

I think if a client were considering ABE, I would steer them to
SwitchVox. If they just want a simple yet powerful GUI, I would steer
them to Thirdlane.

Obviously, if they are looking for something free, I would go FreePBX.

Thanks,
Steve Totaro

[asterisk-biz] How to Allow peer from multuple IP

Hi All,
Is posible to use permit, deny in sip.conf to allow peer ?
example if my client need to send traffic from multiple host they ask
me to allow 1 Class C IP
like a 203.1.1.0/255.255.255.0 i try to use deny and permit in
sip.conf but don't work.

Best Regards.

[asterisk-biz] hdwr v. sftwr v. no echo cancellation

Sorry about the last post. This one might be easier to read.

Actually,
I
would
agree that most
of
the
time h/w is the best option,
but
for
8
or
less
channels
that
you
will
be
using
with
Digium's
TDM800P either
choice
would
work.
The
main
consideration
is
the
amount
of
CPU
power
that
your
system
has.
The
hardware
echo
cancellation
module
and
the
HPEC
(High
Performance
Echo
Cancellation)
software
use
the
same
algorithm.
Either
way
you
will
be
using
the
same
AT&T
certified,
toll-quality,
G.168
compliant
echo
canceller.
The
main
reason
to
use
the
VPMADT032
h/w
based
solution
is
because
it
is
immune
from
any
system
CPU
spikes
that
might
otherwise
affect
a
software-based
solution.

I've been pretty happy with Jim's ThirdLane setup. Runs smoothly and easy to maintain.
