Re: [asterisk-biz] Where to find qualified Asterisk Developers?

Thanks for the response. Basically we're looking for a specific type of
Asterisk developer.

We do voice broadcasting so we deal about 98% in outbound only phone
calls. We use VOIP with our asterisk systems. So we need someone very
familiar with a voice broadcasting type setup.

Another piece is the AMD (Answering Machine Detection), this is a huge
part of our business and need our AMD to work as good as possible. Any
ideas we're welcome to and are constantly looking to improve our coding
so that it can detect people/machines much better.

If these are 2 areas that you are very familiar with I'd love to talk
with you.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: [asterisk-biz] Where to find qualified Asterisk Developers?

Take a look at my site (providing it still works).

www.asteriskhelpdesk.com

You can view and contact the Gurus. Last I saw it was ~150 or so,
some guys as respected as Olle (not meant to leave anyone out).

I am not sure if the functionality is still there, but if it is, and
you can navigate the site, post your job, it will email all the
Asterisk folks that indicated a certain skillset.

It is all free and been un-maintained for a very long time.

One day, when there is time, maybe I will do something with it, just
to have Digium make me shut it down for using the word "Asterisk"

Digium was in the top ten visitors in Webalizer for several months
when it went live, so I am sure someone there had some interest
anyways.

Hi Dave,

The Asterisk-biz list is the best to look for these, as the list is
full of these type of developers. I think that best track for you would
be to publish a general outline of what you are looking for and get
people to contact you.

Well, I keep my eye on this list looking for potential projects, so I
guess -- here :)

I've been developing Asterisk applications (AGIs and "real" app_*
applications) for 5 years.

Please reply on or off-list with a description of what you have in mind.
