Near impossible, I would have thought. The only organisations with
access to the original data are the telcos owning the customer accounts,
and they're not going to give it to you unless you're already a large
established company and willing to pay big bucks.

Okey!
where can I get CNAM info for some of my DID's?

Significantly - if irrelevantly - the same is true of the LERG and of
LNP dips.  In the case of the former, it's Telcordia protecting the
revenue stream derived from the exclusivity of the information, and in
the case of the latter it is dressed up as a matter of confidentiality
and privacy vis-a-vis the end-users and carriers.

They've historically been bad at communication but when I have needed
support, I have eventually gotten it. I have not had tech issues with
them, but I did have one accounting thing, which was straightened out.

also note that most ilecs do not like caching, reselling, or many other
things. I had not really been following this thread, so I dont know if
this was brought up before or not.

Generally when you get CNAM data, you have to sign a contract that
prevents you from doing any of the things that decreases the ilec
revenue stream, and that if you give this information to anyone they
have to have similar restrictions placed upon them to prevent a backdoor
type approach where you set up two companies, one that just forwards
info to the other who caches and distributes it at will.

So if you do get access to a CNAM database be sure to look at the
contracts and make certain its usable and dont just trust that it will
be.

Don't know if you actually intended this message to come to the -biz list or whether you were intending to send it to Rehan directly.

I can't help but think that if you're after those sort of quantities of numbers, your best bet would be applying to whatever quango or regulatory body is responsible for issuing numbers in Pakistan (i.e. their equivalent of the UK's Ofcom).

Chris

Re: [asterisk-biz] Vacancy Available: International Traffic of minsManager

HI Rehan,

Your email prompted me to ask you about the availability of ddi’s in Pakistan? I am trying to bring to market a new UK GSM network and am targeting areas of London that have high Pakistani density, to complement my mobile service I we would like to know if it’s possible (& reasonable) to get a number block per main city in Pakistan. Is it allowed from a regulatory perspective? The intent is that each UK subscriber also gets a Pakistan local geo number that we link back to their phone by SIP. Got to be able to scale in terms of numbers – perhaps up to 10K number blocks per main city.

Is this something you could help with?

Thanks

Magnus Kelly.

I had the worst experience with Nufone many years ago. No support,
and arrogant communication, when I could get any.

Never saw the $40 remaining in my prepaid account after I canceled.

Well documented in google I am sure.....

[asterisk-biz] NuFone

Anyone on the list using them?
I have been using them for quite a while (over 2 years, maybe even 3)
now, but mainly for outgoing.
I have added a DID with them over a week ago, they charged me but as
of yet haven't given me a number. 3 open trouble tickets one for over
2 weeks and no response, voicemails are not returned.

So here is my question to the list is it just me? or are others having
the same experience with them.
I am happy with the voice quality and am not in the mood to find
another provider at the moment, so all of you out there seeing an
opportunity to jump on this as a sales pitch or bashing thread BUG
OFF.

This is a CONSUMER THREAD ONLY those with experience with them should respond.

I am not posting this at the moment to the user list, since I'm not
interested to hurt them, just trying to resolve it, or figure out if
it's time to move on, and the user list has got too many subscribers.

[asterisk-biz] WTB: Used TE410P

Hello List,

I need a couple of TE410P cards.  They don't need to be new, as they are just for testing/lab purposes.  Used ones go for about 350-450 on ebay, but I'm not generally an ebay person.

If anyone has a used TE410P (or TE405P) that they want to part with for something close to the above price, please e-mail me directly (sales at failsafevoip dot com) and I will take it off of your hands.

Thanks,
Bill

Re: [asterisk-biz] PRI

Go to www.shop4t1.com for instant quotes. They are great. When you
make contact, be sure ask for Dennis Green and tell him I referred you
and you want him to handle your account directly. I have also copied
him on your request.

They give you MANY options as far as providers, terms, services, and
Dennis can steer you in the right direction. He is a veteran. He got
me a full LD PRI for $160/mo and a penny a minute.

[asterisk-biz] For Sale: 20+ Cisco Power Cubes

I have 20+ AC adapters for Cisco 79xx phones that are brand new, in
boxes. These were purchased for use with our 7940G phones, but I never
used them. As I understand, they don't work with the 7970 or 7971
phones.

They are from VOIPSupply, they are not Cisco brand, but we have had
two dozen in service for at least two years with not one failure
(knock on wood).

They are located in New Hampshire, make an offer if you are looking
for the whole lot or at least quite a few. I'm not looking to sell one
or two at a time.

Re: [asterisk-biz] thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX

Here are some links that were given to me, and another link I figured
out for multi-tenant.

Products Overview http://www.thirdlane.com/products
Free Online Demo http://www.thirdlane.com/products/thirdlane-pbx/demo

ftp://download.thirdlane.com/pbx/thirdlane-st.iso

From the thirdlane-st.iso, I figured st meant single tenant, so
changing it to mt may get the multi-tenant ISO.

I was right.

Re: [asterisk-biz] thirdlane Multi Tenant PBX

I've have not used the multi-tenant in production but have sold his
single user platform. All in a 50 station or less environment. It's a
very flexible platform allowing you to directly integrate your ouwn
Asterisk scripts and AGI into his packaged dialplan. I like it.
