Re: [asterisk-biz] Need to force port a 866 number

I do a fair amount of porting and don't consider vocalocity to be particularly bad to deal with. It may be a dumb question but are you sure that the LOA and CSR match the address of record (AOR) that vocalocity has? How much is this customer worth to you? It would take me many months to get back the cost of NASC-ing a number on a customer doing 2000 minutes/month.

More helpfully I would look for a provider that is also their own Resporg (not just contracted from ATL) they would probably be the most likely to be able to help you.

Good luck

I have a customer who wants to port their 866 number out of vocalocity. We have tried porting before but they are not being cooperative. The invoices from vocalocity do not show the toll free number, and on other porting attempts they just respond by saying it is the "wrong name". We've been told that we need a provider that can do a forced port. Monthly volume is about 2000 minutes. The number would be connected with SIP to the Asterisk PBX. _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-biz mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-biz
