providers readily available so I can pick and choose the ones I like
most according to price & support criteria.
The problems with this are, well, half the providers I've contacted in
the past request that you sign a non-disclosure agreement, and the
other half act like their rates a big secret, and only disclose them
upon request. I think this has a lot to do with providers being worried
about competition, but in the end if you provide overpriced service
with bad quality/support customers WILL find someone better whether you
publish your rates or not.
You could always start a matrix by yourself... the only problem with
this is that you won't be able to publish providers who require a
non-disclosure agreement. But then again- 9 times out of 10 those are
bad quality and overpriced. I would avoid those anyway despite any
(false) promises they might make.
