Agreed. I've held one job that could be described more or less as a
full-time Asterisk job, and several others that bear tangential relation.
In every case, without exception, what was really needed was a VoIP
expert, not just an Asterisk expert. Someone that could integrate VoIP
systems and negotiate interop issues with these other platforms, as well
as legacy equipment. That's just where VoIP is right now.
