That's it, really. The phone passes calls to * which routes as per
configuration (onward dialing, or voicemail, ...). However I also
want smses delivered to the device to be handled by forwarding them by
email, or posting them to a perl script hosted on a web server
somewhere. I have seen lots of gsm gateways that do the right things
for calls, I just want a recommendation of a device that does the
right thing with calls and sms.

Maybe when I had lots of spare time, that would have been a nice
project. :-)
