Isn't comparing the IP04 to the Signate box (if it had an SGI Altix 350) like comparing an indy car to a corolla (bad attempt at a joke there...)?  Competition for the IP04: PIKA WARP, http://www.pikatechnologies.com/english/View.asp?x=652

I see a showdown of Asterisk "Appliances" coming.  Signate would have won if they were still around http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/asterisk/signate-an-asterisk-provider-bites-the-dust.asp

Their "Appliance" was an SGI Altix 350 (I think dual Itanium II chips)  $30k, I would have loved to numa link a few of those together and see what it could do.

Too bad their GUI sucked.
