Someone had mentioned minutes at some point, I'm not sure there is a
definitive answer on what is being sold. I thought it was hardware too,
but when the whole minutes thing came up, it became ambiguous.

Agreed, I recant that statement. Or recall. Or modify it to "VoIP
SERVICE isn't usually a single sale."
