Dave - We have just completed development of our own version of AMD which is much better. It plays back the audio while simultaneously doing the analysis which removes the dead silence at the beginning of the call. However we use a combination of AMD and carrier detection for leaving messages on cell phone VMs. It's not perfect but will be a big improvement over your current method. While we know it isn't going to work perfectly we want to at least get it working correctly so it leaves messages on all major cell phone providers. If there is a company who is very knowledgeable in AMD we'd be very interested in paying you to help us create the best possible solution. We are open to any suggestions or advice on this one as we've tried tweaking the values and all that seems to accomplish is an improvement on one phone and a backstep on another.
